RN, Clinical Manager, Medical-Surgical & Acute Rehabilitation Units
Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Nursing, the Clinical Manager provides leadership for staff and accountability for assigned operations. In conjunction with the unit leadership, works to improve the quality of patient care, strengthens the financial performance of the department, and improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction.
Serves as a role model and provides clinical expertise to the department. Demonstrates effective skills in communication, advocacy, and promoting a shared vision. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.
The clinical nurse manager is responsible for the 24-hour, seven (7) day a week oversight over the department(s) they lead. The clinical nurse manager is responsible and accountable for the coordination of care and supporting their department(s).
Qualifications
Required:
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS from AHABSN or currently enrolled in BSN program and completion within 2 years
- Two years clinical experience in an acute care facility
- LA City Fire Card within 6 months of employment (PHGSH only)
Preferred:
- Clinical certifications preferred for applicable units, i.e. NRP, PALS, etc.
- Nationally recognized board certification preferred.
- Previous leadership/management experience preferred
- MSN preferred
