Manager, Stroke and Palliative Care, RN – Stroke Program
In accordance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and guidelines, the Program Manager is responsible for the clinical management of patient care and the provision of effective high quality patient care delivery for Stroke, Spine and Joint patients across the continuum of care.
Complies with regulatory and professional standards, fosters interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the department, and works closely with physicians and hospital leaders in establishing a collegial and interdisciplinary patient care environment.
Partners with all clinical departments under leadership of ICU Director. In collaboration with Nursing Leadership, is accountable for the 24 hour management of clinical practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, and compliance with regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the organization.
Qualifications
Licensure and Certification:
- Current California RN license
- Current BLS Provider Card
- Current ACLS Provider Card
- National or state certification in area of practice preferred
- Member in professional organization preferred
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required
- Master’s degree in related filed preferred
Experience:
- Five (5) years minimum experience in critical care, neuro-telemetry or ED nursing with stroke experienceBasic management experience including one (1) year progressive charge nurse experience.
- BSN/Bachelor’s degree in related field may be substituted for two (2) years’ experience.
- MSN/Master’s in related field may be substituted for three (3) years’ experience.
