• Reporting to the Nurse Manager or Supervisor, this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
• Maintains current competencies and skill levels required for work/specialty area.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement programs.
• Orients and trains assigned personnel and students.
• Provides direction to other members of the patient care team to coordinate all aspects of a nursing unit/department for assigned shift. Assesses effectiveness of direction given and problem solves issues regarding patient care.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Graduate of an accredited RN Training Program

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work in a union environment.

Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year recent experience in an Endoscopy setting preferred
• One (1) year recent experience in an operating room setting preferred

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

• Current California Registered Nurse licensure.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• Current ACLS Certification.
• Fire card within 30 days of employment.Pass an EKG test
